Spring Fashion Haul

Happy Monday everyone! Spring is officially here & I have two trips lined up for the next 2 months. So naturally, I found some time away from working 6 days a week to do some mad shopping. Here are some the pieces I got. I'm so excited to style them for you guys! - JEN

Wednesday Wishlist | #NSALE

Happy Hump Day! I hope you're all having a great week so far. Sometimes, what gets me through a week, is some online window shopping therapy. This Friday, Nordstrom is having their Anniversary Sale and I've been pre-shopping online! The thing about following the runway shows, is that you're over excited for Fall fashion, halfway through Summer. I've decided to share with you guys my favorite pieces from the sale (mixed with some non-Nordstrom pieces), in a late-Summer to Fall transition. Enjoy!

1.State Launch

Hey loves! I can't believe a week's passed and I'm finally getting this up on the blog (it's been a busy month, believe me). I've been under the weather for what seems like forever, but I'm better now. Anyhow, on March 8th, I had the pleasure of going to 1.STATE's launch party at Nordstrom!

ZARA top (old) | J.Crew statement necklace | H&M pleather leggings (similar here
NastyGal jacket | JustFab boots (old) | Phillip Lim 3.1 for Target bag

It was a massively rainy on the day of the launch, so I wore my NastyGal jacket over a some warm leggings and boots. The jacket does a great job of keeping me warm and boots are always a necessity for me in rainy weather (I hate getting my feet wet).

At the 1.State launch, they had cupcakes, drinks, and raspberry macaroons! I didn't get very many pictures because I was busy checking out the beautiful clothes, saying hi to some of my blogger buddies (Hi Aika! Hi Chanel!), and eating way too many macaroons ;)

As soon as I walked in though, this strip organza tee caught my eye. As much as I tried to browse around, I kept walking pass this top, until I finally pulled it off the rack and went straight into the fitting room. I'm someone that really gets a kick out of different textures, so I loved the fabric on this top. They have a navy skirt in the same fabric, and to be honest, I kind of wanted that too. It's just a fabric that is so unique and you don't come across it every often.

You can easily wear it over a white, or nude tank, or if you're really brave, a bold colored bra. I ended up getting the top, so I can't wait to style this for you guys!

You can shop 1.STATE at Nordstrom. Below are some of my favorite pieces from their collection. You can click on any of the pictures to shop the look! xoxo JEN

Friday Finds: Spring Florals

Hey loves! In four months, I'm headed to Hawaii for the first time ever, and it seems like it's all I have on my brain lately! Of course I'm still highly invested in my studies right now, so I thought, why not do a little online window shopping? *wink* I'm always so inspired by outfit collages out there, so I decided to take a stab at it myself.

1.  Jonathan Saunders crop top  2. Top Shop midi skirt  3. Tai cuff  4. Jimmy Choo pumps  5. Burberry bag

This season I super excited for all the bright and crazy prints to come back. When I'm first transitioning back into Spring though, it's safe to say, that florals are a great gateway print. I found these Jonathan Saunders pieces and was completely inspired to collage an around them. The print is easily wearable and the colors are spot on! (Also, you can tell from my blog, my new favorite color seems to be golden yellow lately).

What's inspiring you this season?

Peter Pilotto for Target

Hey loves! Are you guys ready for this?! Target is releasing another designer collaboration, on February 9th, 2014, and this time it's with British brand, Peter Pilotto. One of the biggest trends this coming Spring/Summer, is major prints, and the this For-Target launch is nothing of that! Here's some of my favorite looks from the collection:

As you can see from the lookbook, the collection is very resort-esque. It has beautiful, bright, contrasting colors, as well as very flatterings cuts. Often, I find that these for-Target or for-H&M launches, tend to have very impractical designs. The pieces are usually awkward large, or do absolutely nothing to flatter the human body. This collection in particular, though, seems to have really thought their design process out, and cater to flattering and appropriately shaping a woman's body.

Also, since I'm heading to Hawaii, this Spring break, I can definitely see myself wearing so many of these beautiful prints on my vacation. Of course, i'll be out there, bright and early, February 9th.  Here are my goal pieces for this collection:

I suggest looking through the collection and picking out ahead of time what pieces you want, so you have a game plan in mind, and a budget. You don't want to waste your time and miss out on something you really wanted.  Usually, during the first few minutes that stores open for these launches, you'll find women  with carts, and filling it with anything they can get their hands on. Once they've established that, then they'll take their time in sorting through what they really want and trying pieces on in the fitting room.

What will you pick up from the collection? - J E N
