White Christmas

What a special Christmas it is!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas with your family & friends! Here it the Pacific Northwest, we've been fortunate enough to have our first white Christmas, in a long while!

I've already worked 48 hours in the last week & I have another 44 hours in the next week to go, so it's truly wonderful to have today off. Not only that, to have been able to spend time with my extended family last night, see it snow, then be able to relax on Christmas Day.

My family & I woke up early this morning & go enjoy the fresh snow outside. Finally got to bust out this Jacket I've been saving from Zara. My friend Shahrzad & I officially leave for Paris in two weeks, and can bet I'll be bringing this pink treasure with me! Anyways, happy holidays! - Love Jen

Goodbye London

It’s crazy to think that, it feels like it was just a day ago, when Lindsay and I arrived in London together. Then a blur, yesterday was our last full day in this beautiful city. With this being my second holiday here, I now honestly feel like I’ve done everything I wanted on my wishlist.

We’ve visited three museums: the Tate Modern, the V&A Museum, and the Natural History Museum. As a medical healthcare professional, I definitely recommend the Human Evolution exhibit in the Natural History Museum. If you’ll be in the area, from now until February 2018, the V&A Museum has a gorgeous Balanciaga exhibit. I’ve never seen better put together and well lit exhibition.

We’ve also stumbled upon a Peter Pilotto sample sale (see last post here), perused the Borough Market, had impromptu poetry written for us on the street, and saw Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre.

We’ve also had plenty of good food, like savory crepes for breakfast, and dinner outside, by a fire, along the River Thames. We’ve had gelato roses & octopus ravioli at Jamie Oliver’s restaurant, while being served by Jamie (a different Jamie). And lastly, we had one of the finest meals in our lives, 40 floors up, with a gorgeous view of the London’s city skyline at night, at the famous Duck & Waffle

In retrospect, the first half of our adventure has turned out better than I could have imagined. With all we’ve done, will I be back? Of course I will! I’ll be damned if it’s the last time I eat at Duck & Waffle. Now, off to Scotland!

Love, Jen

Newport Lace

Yesterday my family and I headed to New Port Beach! It felt completely different from our trip to Venice Beach the day before. There's a lot more fun shops to visit, lot's of parking (which is nice), and it just feels so much more alive and colorful! People on bikes everywhere and surfers in the water. It felt like the epitome of the Californian lifestyle!

For a seattle-native, it was a shocking 90F today at Newport Beach, which was quite bearable with the nice ocean breeze. Plus I had a refreshing frozen chocolate banana to munch on! I haven't had one in years!

How cute is this older couple? The wife wheeled her husband onto the pier. I hope to find myself in a relationship like this 60 years from now. :)

All in all, I felt like the day was perfect! We didn't do much per say, but my family and I had a really nice time enjoying the view, the sounds of the ocean, and watching surfers trying to take on the big waves. Plus, there's nothing I enjoy more, than simply taking photos.

And while I feel like I may have been a tad overdressed for the beach, I ended up really like my pick. My blouse helped protect my shoulders from the sun, yet it was cool and free flowing. The lace shorts added a touch of femininity and my Sam Edelman sandals made 3 hours of walking a breeze! I hope you all enjoyed the pictures as much as I enjoyed my time at Newport. Until next time, xoxo JEN

Summer Blazer

Mossimo blazer // Hollister tank // Zara shorts (similar here) // Guess heels
JustFab bag // On my Nails: Bikini So Teeny by Essie

A few weeks ago I was bargain hunting in the sale section at Target and I found this wonderful gem of a blazer!  The colors and print on this Mossimo blazer has everything I look for in Spring/Summer wear. It's a great statement piece that I can see myself hanging onto for a long time! JN

Color Me With Pastels & Gold

I absolutely adore this blouse I got from American Apparel. I picked it up on my trip to San Jose at the Gilroy Premium Outlet Mall. It's the perfect shade of pastel pink and the fabric flows beautifully. On top of that bow adds a touch of class that I love.
